All parties should unite to oust govt: Altaf Hussain

MQM chief Altaf Hussain believes the present govt is not democratic, and called it an “authoritarian democracy”.

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that the present government has restored the British-era commissionerate system just to retain its rule, Express 24/7 reported on Sunday.

Altaf Hussain said he believes the present government system is not a democratic one, and called it an “authoritarian democracy” system.

He said all political parties should work together on a one-point agenda to get rid of this authoritarian democracy.

Altaf Hussain paid rich tributes to the victims of Kati Pahari, Orangi Town and Qasba Colony.

He assured the victims that the MQM will not leave them at the mercy of terrorists.

The MQM’s Coordination Committee will hold a meeting today (Sunday)  at the party’s Nine-Zero headquarters, to apprise the nation about its future course of action vis-à-vis the new system.
