‘Magistrates must improve performance’

DC also directs officers to issue show-cause notices to price control magistrates over poor performance

MULTAN: Deputy Commissioner Aamir Khattak directed price control magistrates on Monday to improve their performance otherwise strict action would be taken against them.

He issued the direction while presiding over a meeting with 42 price control magistrates of the district. The DC also directed the officers to issue show-cause notices to price control magistrates over poor performance.

He briefed the magistrates to visit markets on a daily basis and check the prices of commodities. He said that strict action should be taken against profiteers and directed that price control magistrates should impose heavy fines on shopkeepers who fail to display price lists.
