Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Maula Bakhsh Chandio denounced on Saturday speculations about the arrest of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Addressing a training session organised by Women Media Centre in Hyderabad, the senator said Prime Minister Imran Khan’s way of governance was weakening the federation.

The PPP stalwart maintained that his party was not against accountability, but it should be across the board.

He said former president Asif Ali Zardari, who’s in the custody of National Accountability Bureau in a money laundering case through fake bank accounts, was ailing, yet he was not provided adequate facilities in jail.

Leaders of the ruling party, he lamented, were also accused of corruption but none of them were detained.

“PTI leaders, who are celebrating the arrest of opposition leaders, will also face the music,” he said.

The PPP leader demanded greater provincial autonomy.
