A three-member SC bench, headed by Justice Gulzar Ahmed and comprising Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Munib Akhtar, heard the petition.
During the hearing, Latif Khosa, the lawyer of Dr Asim, pleaded the court to provide the CCP report upon which Justice Ahmed said, “Why do you want to take a report which will go against you.”
Justice Sajjad Ali Shah remarked that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) stated that it did not rely on the CCP report. The court will not force NAB to submit the report,” he added.

Latif Khosa said, “Why are there separate laws for NAB and Dr Asim?”
Justice Gulzar Ahmed said no one had any significance before the court.
The court dismissed the request to provide the CCP's report, observing if the same was submitted by NAB, Dr Asim would be entitled to get a copy.
NAB filed a reference against Dr Asim in connection with Rs462 billion corruption in the import of fertiliser from other countries. The CCP had held inquiry into import of fertiliser from other countries during the PPP regime in December 2012.
