RDA conducted an operation against illegal buildings

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) conducted an operation against illegal buildings on Saturday. The Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) wing demolished a under-construction shop attached with Al-Farooq Hotel near Committee Chowk whereas First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered against owners of two illegal under construction buildings in Airport Housing Society on the recovery of dengue larvae. The operation was carried out by RDA’s staff including Building Superintendent, Building Inspectors and others with the assistance of police of related jurisdiction. RDA spokesman Hafiz Muhammad Irfan, said that RDA DG had issued strict orders against encroachments, illegal or unauthorized constructions and directed an action without any discrimination or fear. He added the wing had also been directed to expedite anti-dengue activities.
