3 Priyanka Chopra outfits that are as bad as her political views
The Bollywood actor has made some very questionable fashion choices. See some of her most disappointing outfits
KARACHI:
Priyanka Chopra may be many things but her questionable fashion sense has always been under the radar. From her disappointing outfit choices at this year's Cannes Film Festival (where Deepika Padukone was the clear desi style favourite) and dull bridal makeup, to her latest anything-but-chic brown suede suit while promoting The Sky is Pink at the Toronto Film Festival, we think it's about time PeeCee fires her stylist or changes up her fashion preferences.
Cristina Ehrlich, the driving force behind Chopra's newfound style, revealed that "she has a lot of creative freedom and likes to play around with wearing different looks," during an interview with Vogue.
Well, we hope the Isn't It Romantic? actor starts revamping her current style choices soon! Here are some questionable looks from the year so far.
Brown suede, not okay!
Dull, dull, dull. We don't know what Priyanka was thinking with this mundane brown suede disaster that looks something straight out of Grandma's wardrobe. She recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival promoting The Sky is Pink. For the event, she picked a dark brown suede shirt and teamed it with a creme caramel skirt, both from Ralph Lauren. The Quantico starlet finished off her tone-on-tone look with brown lips, bold brows and a classic, fuss-free bun.
Ayesha Malik slams Priyanka Chopra yet again for women empowerment speech
If there is such a thing as too much suede, this would be it. Perhaps if Priyanka had one key suede piece rather than the same monotone shade, it would lift the look. Bright makeup would have balanced the overtone of brown hues such as a pink lipstick and matching accessories. Either way, the look needs serious reconsideration.
Not-so-perfect pastels at Cannes
We are usually all for the pretty pastel shades which were so in earlier in the year, if done right. However, Priyanka's mediocre looks for the Cannes Film Festival, which is all about celebrities showing off their best styles, was disappointing. This blue silk maxi dress was ill-fitted and rather tacky for such a chic event. The cold colour did not suit her skin tone. This outfit could have been better if she got rid of the hat and accessories, while also tying her hair in an elegant bun and sporting statement gold accessories.
Again, the shade of this dress is not the best. The sheer lavender gown from Fendi F/W 18 collection just did not turn heads at Cannes. While the work on the dress screamed mermaid vibes, Priyanka looked washed out. Cannes is meant to be about chic style and sleek elegance, so the actor completely missed the mark here.
Met Gala monstrosity
Oh no! We know the Met Gala is meant to be outrageous when it comes to fashion but Priyanka just didn't hit the right notes in this outrageous and bizarre ensemble. The 36-year-old looked completely different as she pulled out all the stops for the 2019’s theme Camp: Notes on Fashion. From electrocuted hair and feather overkill to glitter leggings and OTT makeup, where she opted for silver eyebrows and white eyeliner, we just wanted to look away, forever.
