Mubin and his wife were killed in short span of two and a half months allegedly by their relatives to gobble up their properties.
The three prime suspects nominated in the case Amjad Hussein, Imran Khan and Amir Khan got transit bail from Additional and Sessions Judge Tahir Aslam. Meanwhile, area magistrate of Civil Lines police station precinct has issued arrest warrants for the 10 nominated suspects.
These people are accused of killing Mubin Khan in July and his wife Sumera Shinwari in August. Sumera had on her name a commercial plaza on prime location in Rawalpindi’s Saddar market besides some other properties worth over billions of rupees.

Soon after Mubin’s death the suspects had filed property possession and inheritance cases against Sumera. She had filed cases of murder, hurling death threats and harassment against the suspects.
In August, these people filed a case of brawling against Sumera and his son Ali Khan in Peshawar. She went from Rawalpindi to Peshawar to file bail application in Peshawar Katchery with her brother on August 17. However, as she came out of the katchery, she was shot dead. The case was filed in Peshawar police station.
After mother’s death, the distraught daughter of Mubin and Sumera took to social media highlighting her plight and soon the issue was flashed on mainstream media catching notice of higher authorities. Subsequently, police took statement of Nazish Shinwari and the party of the deceased victims in which 10 people were nominated for the murder of Sumera and Mubin.
They include Imran Khan, Amir Khan, Abdul Rehman, Suleman Khan, Amjad Hussein, Asad Khan, Farhan Khan, Izat Naheed, Muqarrab Khan, Asfandyar. All of them were accused of killing Mubin and Sumera to usurp their property.
