CUVAS Project Director Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and HFIP President Mukhtar Ahmed signed the MoU at UVAS City Campus on Thursday.
Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed stated that both organisations were working together and CUVAS students and researchers were learning practical knowledge in the Cholistan Desert.
According to the MoU, HFIP will facilitate CUVAS in the blood and faecal sampling of captive animals housed at different facilities.
HFIP will assist in capturing reptiles, birds and small mammals for research purposes.
Meanwhile, CUVAS will assist in monitoring the population of migratory birds and other wildlife in the Cholistan desert.
The varsity will also conduct research on specific species and share reports and recommendations for improving the status of those species.
