30 held for selling porn to children in Islamabad

Following the directions of DIG Waqaruddin to constitute special teams to carry out raids

ISLAMABAD:
Capital police have arrested 30 people on Wednesday from various areas of the city for selling and showing obscene content to children and confiscated computers from them.

Islamabad IGP Amer Zulfiqar has ordered crackdown against net cafes selling or showing porn to children. Following his directions, DIG (Operations) Waqaruddin Syed directed all Zonal SPs to constitute special teams to carry out raids on such places.

These teams raided in various areas of Golra , Tarnol and Shams Colony police stations, nabbed 30 people and recovered porn movies, videos, immoral material and computers from them.


He said that investigation on such cases should be completed at earliest and challans to be submitted in courts for punishment to the accused.

Islamabad police chief said that members of conciliatory committees at police stations, parents and teachers of educational institutions should be sensitised on this issue.
