Bid to start sectarian violence: MQM chief
KARACHI:
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that attempts are being made to create sectarian violence in Karachi.
Addressing gatherings in Karachi and Hyderabad via telephone, he urged religious leaders to use their influence to bring peace.
He expressed the confidence that people will remain united and not fall prey to this conspiracy.
He said efforts of those who rendered sacrifices will not be wasted. “I salute those who sacrificed their lives,” he said.
He said there will be no taxes for poor when MQM assumes power. He also appreciated the role of Pakistani courts and judges.
