RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD:
A cybercrime court rejected bail plea of female suspect in a rape video case.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Ashfaq Ahmed Rana hearing the case ruled that the suspect was a threat to the society and the community and therefore the bail application was rejected.

Judge Rana noted that the suspect Kiran Jehangir would trick women and girls and bring them to her husband, Qasim Jehangir, who used to rape them while she filmed the crime for blackmailing the victims.

No society could permit such wicked practice, the judge said and ordered inclusion of criminal sections in the case.

The defendant’s counsel rejected all allegations and declared the case a fabricated story.

The plaintiff’s counsel, Yasir Chaudhry Advocate said that it was an evil crime and awarding bail to the suspect would encourage such malpractices in the society. He added that case would be transferred from Punjab police to cyber-crime police station of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) where investigation would be done all over again. He pleaded the court to dismiss plea application.

The other suspect, Kiran’s husband Qasim, is also imprisoned in Adyala jail.
