Mumbai Attacks: ‘No indication from Pak to send panel’

Pakistan reluctant to take the statement of the magistrate who recorded Ajmal Kasab’s confession

Indian Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that there is no indication from Pakistan on sending its judicial commission to take the statement of the magistrate who recorded Ajmal Kasab’s confession, Express 24/7 reported on Wednesday. During the Home Secretary-level talks in March, India had agreed to host Pakistan’s judicial commission to record statements of those who carried out the post-mortem of terrorists involved in the 26/11 attacks. Islamabad had promised to send the commission by May 15 as it was part of the judicial process. The commission also wants to interview Indian officials in connection with the trial of seven Pakistani suspects currently in jail in the Mumbai attacks case.
