Growing: NIT declares payouts for its funds

KARACHI: National Investment Trust (NIT) has announced that its NI(U)T Fund has posted a growth of 15 per cent in capital gains, which increased to Rs848 million in the year ended June 30, 2011 compared to Rs737 million in the previous year. Dividend income increased by 25 per cent to Rs1.93 billion in FY11 against Rs1.55 billion in FY10.  Announcing the results, NIT declared payouts for all funds under its management. For NI(U)T Fund, NIT declared a dividend of Rs4 per unit, taking the total payout to Rs5.04 billion. For State Enterprise Fund, NIT declared a bonus of 23 per cent on the face value of Rs50 for the unit holders. In FY11, the Fund realised capital gains of Rs1.25 billion compared to Rs1.74 billion in the previous year, while dividend income stood at Rs1.34 billion compared to Rs1.09 billion in the previous year.
