PM Imran rubbishes Indian claims of terrorist infiltration in Occupied Kashmir
The premier explained to German chancellor how New Delhi’s actions were in direct contravention of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, international law and its solemn commitments.
On August 5, India revoked the special status of Kashmir, which brought communication and travel restrictions in the disputed region.
PM Imran, during the telephonic talk with Merkel, shed light on the dire human rights situation in the valley where locals were facing severe shortages of food and medicines.
“Intensified Indian repression can result in a massive loss of Kashmiri lives, which must be prevented at all costs,” he told the German chancellor.
PM Imran underlined concerns that India would in all probability attempt a false flag operation to divert attention from its massive human rights violations and the unleashing of a reign of terror in Kashmir.
He added, “India’s actions have serious implications for peace and security in the region and the international community has the responsibility to act urgently.”

Merkel told the prime minister that Germany was closely observing the situation in Kashmir.
She stressed the importance of de-escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India and peaceful resolution of issues between them.
The two leaders also agreed to continue to work together for peace and stability in the region.
