CPWB organises workshop

LAHORE: Lahore police, in collaboration with the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB), organised a training workshop at District Police Lines, Qilla Gujjar Singh on Wednesday. The workshop was organised on the directives issued by Lahore CCPO BA Nasir and Lahore DIG Operations Ashfaq Khan. A legal officer from the bureau delivered a lecture about laws on child torture. As many as 20 station house officers (SHOs) and 24 in charge investigations participated in the workshop. AT least 40 SHOs and 50 in charge investigations have participated in the workshop so far. Child protection officers Rizwan Haider, Muhammad Amin and Zahra Umer also spoke about children’s rights and precautionary steps which can be taken in this regard.
