Three of a family killed in road accident
Motorist flees after committing the crime
SAHIWAL:
Three members of a family died when a car and a motorcycle collided at Mushtaq Chowk near Qutub Shahana Bridge on Sahiwal Faisalabad Road on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as 35-year-old Saifullah, his 35-year-old wife, Kousar Perveen and their six-year-old son, Moosa. Police said that they were on their way home on a motorcycle when a speeding car, coming from an opposite direction rammed into their two-wheeler. The motorist fled away after committing the crime, they added. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital. In a separate incident, a trader, identified as Muhammad Shareef, died while his cousin named Fayaz Ahmed suffered serious injuries when their car collided with a truck near Orangabad on Sahiwal Faisalabad Road. Police said that the car was coming from Sumandri to Sahiwal and its driver was rescue officer named Farooq. Police Bahadur Shah arrested Farooq and shifted Ahmed to the hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. A case has been registered.
