Police failed to provide evidence against the accused.
The court acquitted Ishtiaq alias Police Wala, Faisal Khwaja, and Abu Irfan in the murder case and directed that the accused be released if they are not involved in any other case.
Eyewitnesses did not identify the accused before the court.
Counsel for the accused, advocate Abid Zaman, maintained that no evidence was provided by the police. He argued that the eyewitness who was produced before the court could not identify the accused and no other eyewitness was presented.
According to police, the accused attacked former DSP Rahim Bangash, killing him, in the jurisdiction of Mithadar Police Station. Police claim the accused confessed to the murder during interrogation.
