Murad signs MoU with Iranian governor for expanding trade
Both agree to collaborate in agro-industrial development and engineering research
KARACHI:
Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Khorasan-e-Razavi Governor General Razm Hosseini to expand bilateral trade in public and private sectors, encourage the exchange of tourists and cultural delegates and take joint initiatives in the areas of agro-industrial development and engineering research, during his two-day visit to Iran.
Both parties also agreed to organise culture, arts and food festivals, painting workshops and other events to promote cooperation in the fields of arts and culture, between Iran and Pakistan. They also decided to work towards increasing economic cooperation and collaborate on projects pertaining to commerce, agriculture, engineering, science, and research. As per the clauses of the MoU, people from Iran and Pakistan will be encouraged to attend economic exhibitions and investment events held in each other's countries. The CM and Hosseini also agreed to promote investment in city-based projects through information exchange and extend support to these projects via the provision of facilities.

The chief minister also requested the governor-general to take initiatives for facilitating Pakistani pilgrims who frequently visit Iran. The governor general assured him that he would ensure that the pilgrims have easy access to all necessary facilities on their visit to Iran.
The CM thanked Hosseini for his hospitality and invited him to visit Sindh. The provincial chief minister returned from his visit early Thursday morning.
