Interfaith harmony seminars planned

In order to save Pakistan, the NPCIH will conduct seminars, walks, conferences and dialogues all over the country.

In a bid to restore peace in the city and country, a movement has been launched by the National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony (NPCIH).


“We consider terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence the main problems faced by the country today,” said NPCIH chairman Allama Ayaz Zaheer Hashmi at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Friday. “In order to save Pakistan, the NPCIH will conduct seminars, walks, conferences and dialogues all over the country.”

According to Hashmi, the NPCIH committee includes people from various religious and social backgrounds “Our committee members plan on paying a visit to different political religious party offices in an effort to soothe the city,” he said. “In order to achieve our goals we have increased the number of members per district.”

Advisor to the chief minister Anwar Lal Dean, NPCIH Human Rights provincial chairman Syed Anwar Hussain Abidi, Sheikh Muhammad Ismail, Pandit Lal Sharma and Sardar Ramesh Singh were also present at the press conference.
