ISLAMABAD: In a shocking series of events, the family of a 13-year-old girl was attacked by armed men on behest of their friend, who attempted to sexually assault the child inside his shop in the federal capital’s Muslim Colony area on Wednesday.

According to a complaint lodge by the victim’s father at Secretariat police station, his daughter was dragged inside the shop by the prime suspect, Munir Khan, when she visited it to buy stuff for the family this morning.

Khan allegedly pulled down shop shutters and tried to rape the child, tearing apart her clothes in the process. However, the young girl put up good resistance to all attempts made by the suspect to sexually assault her.

After hearing her cries for help, passersby barged in the shop and caught the suspect red-handed. He, however, managed to flee the scene.

Shocked by the unfortunate incident and with tears flowing from her eyes, the child was finally on her way home, when she was intercepted by three armed men, identified as Saeed Khan, Naveed Khan and Abid, sent by Munir.

They took the poor kid to her house, but kept beating her all along. Upon reaching there, they also attacked parents and siblings of the victim and threatened them to stay mum over the whole episode. They not only freely used punches and kicks while torturing the unfortunate family, but also wounded them by throwing stones at them.

The police, however, only booked the prime suspect while completely ignoring atrocities committed by his three associates. None of the four accused were arrested by the time this report was filed.
