Mother, daughter killed after domestic dispute

Murder was in the air in Dera Ghazi Khan as a man gunned down his wife and mother-in-law over a domestic issue in the Kala police limits.
Police reached the scene and informed rescue teams which shifted the bodies of the deceased to the DG Khan Teaching Hospital.
Police said Muhammad Yunus got involved in domestic issue and hurled verbal abuses at his wife before physically assaulting her. Matters took a turn for the worse then the suspect pulled out a weapon and shot his wife, Sameen, dead. His mother-in-law, Asmat, 45, also suffered bullet wounds and died on the spot.
After the shootings, Kala Police Station SHO Jaffer Habib reached the site and cordoned off the area to hunt down the suspect. However, the gunman also opened fire at the chasing police party and managed to flee. Teams from Rescue 1122 shifted the bodies of the women to DG Khan Teaching Hospital’s Trauma Centre where a postmortem was conducted after the arrival of the police.
The bodies were later handed over to the family of the deceased. A case has also been registered against the suspect.
Panic and fear took over the entire neighborhood, while a large number of locals reached the home of the deceased and demanded the DG Khan DPO immediately arrest the culprit.
