Sindh Revenue Board, setup to collect General Sales Tax (GST) on services, will start functioning from today (Friday) and it will be given the status of a separate department soon.


This decision was taken at a meeting held at Chief Minister’s House on Thursday to review the functioning of the board. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and attended, among others, by provincial Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah, Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, Secretary Finance Naveed Kamran Baloch and members of the board.

The meeting was told that a website had already been developed and the board would start collecting tax from August. The meeting decided to give a final shape to the packages and salaries of employees.
