Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan seems to be wanting to take a break from the glitz and glam of his career as of late.

Needless to say, his last film Zero starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma didn't perform well at the box office and failed to receive critical acclaim.

Since then, the actor hasn't announced his next project, reported Pinkvilla.

Although all SRK fans are eagerly waiting for him to announce his next project, there is still time for him to start shooting for his next film.

Rumours suggested otherwise though.  Shah Rukh Khan was to do Rakesh Sharma biopic, Saare Jahan Se Accha, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Sahir Ludhianvi biopic, and also Don 3 - but as of now, there is no confirmation.

The star used his film absence as a cue to take a well-deserved break.  Currently, SRK is vacationing in London with Gauri and AbRam.

Shoaib Akhtar denies having feelings for Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre

During an interview, the actor opened up on his future projects as he said that he has not signed up any film. “I have no film with me right now. I am not working on any film. Usually what happens is when your one film is coming to an end, you begin work on your next film and I get involved within 3-4 months,” informed SRK.

SRK celebrated Eid with his legion of fans as he stepped out of his Mannat hotspot in Mumbai to wave at the fans.  He was also clicked with American television host David Letterman.

Since daughter Suhana is going to college and son Aryan is about to finish his studies, the actor, understandably, says that he wants to spend as much time as he can with his family.

“But this time I am just not feeling like...My heart doesn’t allow me to..I just felt that I should rather take time out, watch films, listen to stories and read more books," the Devdas star explained to Filmfare.

He continued, "Even my kids are in their college stage...my daughter is going to college and my son is about to finish his studies. So I just want to spend more time with my family.”

Looks like fans will have to wait patiently for the actor to announce his next project.  We are sure he is going to return with a bang!
