Image of Pakistan as shown by the international media was negative contrary to the reality on the ground, noted a three-member media delegation from Maldives.

The delegation included Waheed Ibrahim, Farooq Mohamed Hassan and Zihnath Hassan.

The Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) hosted the three-member media delegation from Maldives on Monday.

The guests were in the country on the initiation of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC ). They discussed measures for enhancing Pakistan-Maldives relations.

IPRI Director Research Brig (retd) Mehboob Qadir led the briefing.

He noted that focus should be on enhancing people-to-people contact, particularly links between the media houses of the two countries.
