Shehbaz convenes PML-N meeting as PTI govt prepares to launch economic survey

Another meeting scheduled for Wednesday to discuss post Budget 2019-20 strategy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif will convene a meeting of the party's parliamentary advisory group at the opposition chambers in the Parliament House Monday afternoon, Express News reported.

The meeting comes as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government prepares to launch annual Economic Survey of Pakistan for the current financial year. The survey will provide an overview of the national economy, highlighting performance and achievements in different sectors during the fiscal year.

Shehbaz has also called a meeting of the party's economic advisory council on Wednesday in Islamabad to discuss the country's financial situation. Matters including inflation, unemployment, debts, rupee devaluation will be reflected upon.

The meeting is reportedly called post-Imran Khan-led government's first budget announcement. The PML-N economic advisory council will deliberate on the Budget 2019-20, devise the party's strategy and draw up recommendations.
