President, prime minister, ministers, parliamentarians heads of missions of Muslim countries, senior government and military officials perform Eid prayers in Faisal Mosque, besides hundreds of people, therefore, extra security is deployed here.
The mosque would be completely sealed five minutes before the commencement of Eid prayers while special security arrangements have also been made to cover its surrounding areas.
After prayers, the vehicles would be allowed to leave one-by-one in order to avoid traffic snarl-ups and maintaining security check.

The holidays of some 3,500 policemen have also been cancelled for Eid duties. However, Islamabad IG Amir Zulfiqar has directed to arrange Bara Khana or a grand feast for the policemen who would be busy performing their duties instead of celebrating Eid with their families in their hometowns.
IG Zulfiqar has said there will be an Eid Milan party in police lines Islamabad.
The IG and other police high officials would offer Eid prayers in police lines after which they would meet with their force.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have devised a comprehensive security plan for Eidul Fitr and increasing deployment to guard worship places besides effective patrolling in the various areas of the capital.
According to an official statement, 3,000 policemen would perform security duties during Eid days and guard religious gatherings at open places, mosques, and Imambargahs.
Following directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed has devised a security plan. As per this plan, the statement said.
Police officials have been assigned security duties at 1,023 mosques, 33 Imambargahs, and other open places.
Rawalpindi security
In order to avert any untoward incident during Eidul Fitr, Rawalpindi police have concluded a comprehensive security plan.
The police spokesman said that around 3,600 policemen would be deployed on Eid congregations, public places, shopping malls, and other important buildings.
Walk-through gates would be installed outside sites designated for Eid congregations, besides police will give body pat to search people after they pass through metal detectors.
Police pickets would also be setup as part of security measures, the spokesman said. As part of security cordon, all vehicles were being checked at the entry and exit points of the city, he said.
The bomb disposal squad (BDS) would remain alert while all public places, parks, playgrounds will be kept under strict vigilance and security cover.
It has also been directed to impound motorcycles of one-wheelers in respective police stations.
However, citizens have been advised to keep some lights on within the house if they intend to leave for somewhere and also assign the duty of some person to look after the house.
It has also been appealed to inform local police or Rescue 15 in case of observing any suspicious activity.
All SSPs have been directed to supervise security arrangements in their respective divisions.
The police would continue patrolling the streets in order to maintain vigilance.
Special security arrangements have been made for Faisal Mosque while special police pickets would be erected around there.

Beat systems have been introduced for security at main shopping centers, markets and additional deployment of policemen would be ensured for security, said the statement issued by the police spokesman.
Contingents of mobile reserve police would be part of security measures at important shopping centres including Super Jinnah, Supermarket, F-7, F-10, and Aabpara markets. Policemen have been assigned duties at bus stands, graveyards, and railway stations along with metro stations. Policemen would patrol in the various sectors and contingents of Pakistan Rangers and police commandos will assist police in these security duties.
