Traffic police told to stop wrong parking

The Traffic SSP said that using a footpath is a pedestrian's right and no parking would be allowed on them

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have been directed to take strict action against those involved in parking their vehicles wrongly and creating problems in smooth flow of traffic.

While reviewing arrangements to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the city, police source said that Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Farrukh Rasheed has directed SP (Traffic) and all Zonal DSPs to ensure implementation on traffic laws and take action against those involved in creating problems for traffic discipline in the city.

The Traffic SSP said that it is the right of pedestrian to use footpath and no parking would be allowed there. He said that vehicles should be parked at lots specified at shopping centers while citizens coming for shopping activities should be educated about traffic rules.
