Judge orders release of 14 prisoners

The judges visited the kitchen and vocational training centre and listened to difficulties faced by the prisoners

ISLAMABAD: At least 14 prisoners in Adiyala Jail got a get-out-of-jail-free card on the visit of Islamabad District and Sessions judge. All the released prisoners were doing time for petty crimes. District and Sessions Judge Islamabad East Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain during his visit to Adyala Jail ordered release of 14 prisoners. Civil judge Yasir Hafeez and Assistant Commissioner Saad bin Asad were also present.

He did rounds of the juvenile jail and checked the progress of students studying t prison school. He was also taken to a beauty parlour where women prisoners learn beautician courses to help them earn livelihood after completing their sentences.

The judges visited the kitchen and vocational training center and listened to difficulties faced by the prisoners.
