KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) sought a progress report from the police by June 22 regarding efforts made for the recovery of 16 missing children and ordered their immediate recovery.

The court expressed annoyance over the progress of the police who were unable to recover any more children since the last hearing.

While addressing the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) DIG Arif Hanif, the court asked if any child had been recovered. The DIG replied that they were trying their best and had received some information about some children in Sehwan and Faisalabad.

The lawyer for Roshni Helpline argued that 16 children were still missing and the parents were extremely worried. The court ordered the Sindh IG to look into the matter himself and sought the progress report regarding the recovery of missing children by June 22.
