ISLAMABAD: Four people including two women were injured when a local councilor opened fire during an argument with one of the victims. The rest of the injured had nothing to do with the argument.

Bhara Kahu police shifted the injured to hospital and started investigations.

Police said that Nashad, a resident of Dhok Gialni, was a witness in a murder case. The area councilor Malik Imran came to Nashad’s house and asked him not to testify in the court.

However, he refused which caused a heated argument between the two. Enraged, Malik Imran pulled out a pistol and started shooting.

The bullets hit Nashad, two women standing on a roof, and a shopkeeper.

Police rushed to the spot called ambulances and shifted the injured to hospital. Doctors have declared the condition of all injured out of danger.

Bhara Kahu police said they were waiting for Nashad to file a complaint after which they will take action against Malik Imran.
