To better monitor facilities at all the three large, allied hospitals of Rawalpindi, a new Android application and dashboard has been developed.

In this regard, the superintendents and officials of the Rawalpindi District Health Authority (DHA) have been directed by the district administration to pay surprise visits to the Benazir Bhutto General Hospital (BBH), the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) and the Holy Family Hospital (HFH) to send a healthcare system report to the district administration via the new application.

Further, a report for monitoring healthcare activities via technology will also be sent to the district administration.

Sources said that the mobile application will enable the superintendents and officials to improve the check and balance on the healthcare system of the hospitals.

Officials hope that by using this technology, they would be able to identify the shortage of medicines or any other facility which could affect the performance of the hospital or the healthcare of patients.

Further, the healthcare centres under DHA that are already running immunization programmes including HIV control, dengue control and such have been directed to enhance their performance.

The administration has also directed to send a report of complaints received through the toll-free number (0800-99000) of health centres while it has assured the related authorities that all basic health centres will be provided with an uninterrupted supply of water and electricity.
