RAWALPINDI: The Rawat police raided a sheesha centre where a party had been organized during the holy month of Ramazan.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Rawat SHO Aizaz Azeem raided a mini-club and sheesha centre located on the upper floor of a plaza.

As officers stormed the centre, the music party was going on while some participants were also in the midsts of gambling.

They claimed to have recovered over a hundred different sheesha flavours from the centre, a sound system and Rs75,000 in stake money.

Officials said that they had arrested as many as 14 suspects. SHO Azeem said the suspects had established a mini-club on an entire floor of the plaza after renting it, adding that cases have been lodged against the suspects.
