NAROWAL: A minor girl was brutally murdered after rape in Maiyadiyaan village, Shakargarh tehsil on Thursday.
Kot Abdul Malik (Sheikhupura district) based labourer Sadiq Fareed and his family had gone to Maiyadiyaan village to attend a wedding ceremony of one of their relatives.
On May 21, accused Sadaqat Ali kidnapped Sadiq Fareed's 12-year-old daughter when they were on their way back home. The accused raped the kidnapped girl and killed her by strangulating her. The accused threw her body in nearby fields.
Sub-Inspector Tauheedur Rehman (SHO Rayya Khas police station) said police arrested accused Sadaqat Ali, who confessed he killed the girl after raping her. The SHO said police also recovered the body from the fields. Police have arrested three accused Sadaqat Ali, Ittefaq Ahmed and Ansar.
