Chinese national reportedly lost his cool after the worker failed to comprehend his instructions

FAISALABAD: A Chinese national was arrested on Wednesday after he reportedly pushed a worker into a burning furnace in Faisalabad, Express News reported.

The incident occurred at a factory in Faisalabad’s Sahianwala Industrial Estate. According to Express News, the labourer was pushed into the furnace by the Chinese supervisor of the labour force. The foreigner reportedly lost his cool after the worker failed to comprehend his instructions.

FIA arrests eight Chinese men involved in human trafficking

The injured employee was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical aid.

Police arrested the accused and initiated investigation. CPO Azhar Ikram told Express News that the matter will be dealt with according to law.

“The investigation is being conducted by SHO and DSP-level officers,” he added.

A protest was launched by labourers shortly after the incident.
