Tube wells in the area have not been working for the past ten days
Many delegates from the United States and government officials were present at the seminar
RAWALPINDI:
Residents of Union Council (UC) 31 staged a protest on Zafarul Haq Road on Thursday against the district administration after three tube wells — on which the water supply system of the area hinges —malfunctioned. Holding aloft empty water containers, the protesters chanted slogans against the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and elected representatives of the area. Addressing the protesters, the Citizen Action Committee chairman and PTI member Zaheer Ahmed Awan, said that tube wells in their area have not been working for the past ten days and that it would be cruelty to deprive residents of water during Ramazan.
