According to Paharipura police station SHO Ejaz Khan, families of Waheedullah and Afzal Khan have been at odds since one year and already four people have died in vendetta killings.
On Tuesday, both the parties came face to face in Yousufabad area of the precinct and after a brief exchange of profanities, they stopped talking and started shooting. When the gun smoke cleared, both Waheedullah and Afzal lay dead.
Waheed’s lieutenant, Jabar Malang was also killed in the shootout, whereas Fazal Rahim and Abbas were injured. An innocent man who was just passing by was also injured in the firing.
Police on hearing the crackle of gunfire rushed to spot and arrested Zakirullah and Bacha Rahim from the spot.
