"This year I’ve not joined the bandwagon of any Ramadan transmission, but here I’m sending all the wishes and luck to the ones who are, and would be providing us with pedagogic and pragmatic transmissions as usual," she shared.

"After morning show I had decided to take a break from daily transmissions and I will abide by it. It has come to my notice that certain channels and agencies are using my name, claiming I’m taking over their transmission. Well it’s unauthentic news. If there’s anything, you’ll hear from me first," added the actor.

Earlier, Muavia Azam Tariq, the lawmaker of Pakistan Rahe Haq Party, had moved the resolution which was passed unanimously by both treasury and opposition benches on Thursday.

The resolution urged the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to impose a ban on showbiz personalities from taking part in Ramazan transmission programmes.

The resolution regretted that “in the race for media ratings, Ramazan transmissions are hosted by the people who know nothing about Islam”.
