IO given three days to present challan

The accused were presented at the Karachi City Court

KARACHI: A local court ordered police on Monday to again produce the accused in Nashwa’s case before the court on Tuesday. The accused, including Sobia, Nursing Manager Atif, duty administration officer Ahmed Shehzad, Waleedur Rehman and Moiz,were presented at the Karachi City Court. The investigation officer (IO) requested the court to send the accused to jail and allow seven days for presentation of case challan. The counsel for the accused maintained that allegations against his clients were bailable. He said that the inclusion of Section 322 of Pakistan Penal Code was illegal. The court ordered the IO to present the challan within three days. Nine-month-old Nashwa was administered the wrong dose of injection at Darul Sehat Hospital that paralysed her brain and later caused her death.
