AJK elections for three constituencies postponed

Elections postponed due to Azad Kashmir High Court order in KP constituency and security situation in Karachi.

LAHORE: The Azad Kashmir Election commission on Saturday rescheduled the elections for three constituencies of refugees that are residing in Pakistan for different reasons, Express News reported.

Preparations for the elections were in their final stages. Elections of constituencies LA-41 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and LA-30 and LA-36 of Karachi were postponed and rescheduled.

Elections of constituency LA 41 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, were postponed because the Azad Kashmir High Court order that had asked the Election Commission to include names of the voters who were removed from the list.

The elections in Karachi were postponed due to security reasons.
