The Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) on Thursday announced the Premier League Team of the Year and there was no place for Liverpool star Mo Salah and Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard.

The team is heavily dominated by two title contenders Liverpool and Manchester City, with as much as three defenders from the Reds in the list.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil Van Dijk and Andrew Robertson are a part of a back four, where City's Aymeric Laporte is supporting them.

In goal, the team has the services of City goalkeeper Ederson.

Meanwhile, in a three-man midfield, Manchester United's Paul Pogba, who had a bad first half of the season but recovered to once again see a dip in form, was named with the City duo of Bernardo Silva and Fernandinho.

Surprisingly, Salah and Hazard were not named in the list even after the Egyptian competing for the golden boot with 19 goals and the Chelsea midfielder carrying the team forward alone most of the times.

Meanwhile, in the strikers' list Liverpool star Sadio Mane was named alongside once again a City duo of Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling.
