Gen Qamar installs Lt Gen Hyder as NLI Regiment’s Col Commandant

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa has appreciated the contributions and sacrifices of Northern Light Infantry (NLI) Regiment, one of the most decorated regiments of Pakistan Army with numerous gallantry awards, for the defence of motherland.

The army chief visited NLI Regimental Centre, Bunji on Friday, and installed Lt Gen Anwar Ali Hyder as Col Commandant of the regiment, said a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations.

Outgoing Col Lt Gen (retd) Ikramul Haq, Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lt Gen Bilal Akbar and a large number of serving and retired officers and soldiers attended the ceremony.
