
Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) is implementing a two-pronged strategy for optimum utilisation of the indigenous hydropower resources, in order to cope with the growing electricity demand, according to Wapda Chairman Shakil Durrani.
Durrani said on Tuesday that Wapda was constructing a number of new hydropower projects on a priority basis, along with rehabilitating aged hydel power stations.
