Police arrest two accomplices of accused in DHA firing
According to the police, two people were killed and one other injured
KARACHI:
Investigation police claimed to have arrested two accomplices of the prime accused in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI firing incident in which a police official and a security guard were killed and another person was injured. The arrested accomplices were with the accused, Nazeer Ahmed, till 2:30am on Saturday night while the incident took place at around 3:20am.
According to the police, two people were killed and one other injured when accused Nazeer opened fire at them in a drunken state at Khayaban-e-Bukhari within the limits of Darakhshan Police Station. The accused Nazeer was driving a Vigo that he had left behind at the crime scene and was arrested on Sunday morning from a private hospital.
South zone Investigations SSP Tariq Dharejo said that the two suspected accomplices, Mian Hasan and Bilal, were arrested on Monday and their statements were recorded while their call records were being extracted through their phones, which will help in tracing others involved.

Dharejo further informed that Nazeer had met his friends, Hasan and Bilal, on Saturday around 10pm in Clifton. They had consumed different types of drugs and went on a drive with two other friends, who are not identified yet. According to Dharejo, Hasan and Bilal said that they were with Nazeer till 2:30am while the incident took place around 3:20am.
Dharejo said that there was information that a person named Inam was with Nazeer at the time of the incident but it hasn't been verified yet as the investigation is still under way. The two accomplices are residents of Gulistan-e-Jauhar and DHA, respectively, while Nazeer belongs to Dalbandin, Balochistan, and is known to be an addict of the Ice drug, said Dharejo.
