MoU for setting up 1,000 stitching units
Textile Division signs MoU with Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority
ISLAMABAD:
The Textile Division has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) for launching and executing the project of establishing 1,000 stitching units in Pakistan, which had been pending for the past many years. In the first phase, 150 stitching units will be established at a cost of Rs350 million. An amount of Rs46.2 million has been earmarked by the government in the current fiscal year (2018-19) for the project with the objective of providing business and employment opportunities to the youth of Pakistan at their doorsteps.
