ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday felicitated the newly-elected representatives of the Quetta Press Club and hoped that the newly elected body would be in forefront in the freedom of expression struggle.

In a message, Bilawal congratulated QPC's new President Razaur Rehman and General Secretary Zafar Siddique Baloch.

Bilawal said that with the passage of time, working associations and NGOs were cementing the democratic culture.


He said Pakistan's bright future could be described in just one word which was democracy.

The PPP chairman said the forces of tyranny always try to suppress the freedom of expression and the press to derail the democracy, adding that the anti-democratic forces were busy in attaining their vested interests as they were portraying the impartial and people-friendly journalism like a taboo.

He said PPP always defended the rights of the journalist fraternity and ensured complete freedom of information and the press.
