Nicolas Cage files for annulment four days after marriage

Hollywood actor tied the knot with makeup artist Erika Koike on Saturday

American actor Nicolas Cage tied the knot just recently. However, in a rather drastic turn of events, the Ghost Rider star filed for an annulment just four days after his whirlwind marriage to girlfriend Erika Koike in Las Vegas, reported PEOPLE.

The 55-year-old married makeup artist Koike on Saturday and received their marriage certificate the same day. Cage then submitted the application for annulment on Wednesday.

The pair have kept their relationship status on the down low but have been spotted on holiday together in the past. They were also pictured having dinner together a year later.

This was Cage's fourth marriage. He previously married actor Patricia Arquette in April 1995 and the two later divorced in 2001. The Mandy actor then married Lisa Marie Presley in August 2002 but filed for divorce in November of the same year. It was finalised in 2004.

His third wife was Alice Kim whom he took the plunge with in 2004. The former couple welcomed a son who they named Kal-El in 2005. The two separated in January 2018 after 12 years of marriage.

He opened up about the end of their relationship in an interview while promoting his 2018 thriller Mandy, “It was a shocker for me — I definitely didn’t see it coming and those feelings had to go somewhere, so they went into the performance.”

Cage also has a 28-year-old son named Weston Coppola Cage, with ex Christina Fulton. Koike was also previously married.
