Promotes 11 officers of the PAS to Grade 22

ISLAMABAD: The federal government on Tuesday promoted 11 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS) to Grade 22.

The officers promoted are: Asad Hayaul Din, Zafar Hassan, Iqbal Durrani, Captain (retd) Naseem Nawaz, Captain (retd) Ijaz Ahmed Jafar, Umar Rasool, Hassan Nasir Jami, Azam Khan, Habibur Rehman Gillani, Naheed Durrani and Aslam Lambo.

According to the notification issued by the Establishment Division, Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary, Azam Khan has also been promoted to grade 22 and will now only serve as the premier’s secretary. Similarly, Additional Secretary Petroleum and Natural Resources Mian Asad Hayaul Din will continue to serve as federal secretary after promotion.



The additional secretary planning Zafar Hassan, additional secretary environmental changes Hassan Nasir Jami, additional secretary frontline affairs Muhammad Aslam Kambo will also continue to serve in these divisions after being promoted.

A notification to promote IG motorway AD Khawaja to grade 22 has also been released however he will continue to serve as IG motorway.

In Sindh, grade 20 officers Sultan Ali Khawaja, Afzal Mehmood Butt and grade 19 officer Naveed Nisar Khawaja have been transferred to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Meanwhile, another grade 20 officer Ramzan Awan has been posted as joint secretary federal education and training while Amjad Ahmed has been posted as joint secretary religious affairs. The services of grade 20 officer Sadiq Kamal Khan Orakzai posted in the national police academy have been handed over to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

The services of Muhammad Iqbal, a grade 20 officer posted under Inland revenue services have been returned to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
