SC comes down hard on govt for 'rampant corruption'

Justice Gulzar Ahmed asked the advocate general about the reasons for the lack of clean drinking for the residents of Thar even after the expenditure of Rs105 billion.

“All that money has been spent in corrupt activities. It is the responsibility of the government to provide basic facilities to the public, but it failed,” he said.

According to the judge, corruption of billions of rupees happened in the Special Initiative Department, Thar Coal Authority and Mobile Emergency Unit.
