May 12: MQM condemns PML-N allegations
PML-N held the MQM responsible for the deaths of 52 people on May 12, 2007.

Deputy parliamentary leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Haider Abbas Rizvi has strongly condemned the allegations made by Nawaz Sharif, leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz who, while addressing a public gathering in Azad Kashmir, held the MQM responsible for the deaths of 52 people on May 12, 2007. Rizvi responded that MQM had also lost 14 of its workers on May 12. In 1992, thousands of MQM workers were killed when Sharif was the prime minister and several others were sent to death row during governor rule in his second term as prime minister, Rizvi said.
