Various sectors of the economy including warehouses, construction premises and container terminals are being monitored with the help of drone technology, said Punjab Revenue Authority Chairman Javed Ahmed referring to newly-introduced Blue Sky Thinking initiative. Briefing a team of representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Wednesday, he detailed on the working mechanism, structure, progress and future plans of the authority. PRA’s recent initiatives as well as components of the vision of e-PRA including Inter-Provincial Communications Portal, e-proceedings, pre-populated returns, STRIVe, online payment of sales tax, e-courts and mass audits also were discussed. The IMF team appreciated PRA’s efforts in promoting ease of doing business and its vision of becoming a technology-centric organisation.
